The ‘Green Home’ has been designed to provide you with a home that will leave a lighter carbon footprint, in its building techniques, products specified and on-going running costs.

Designed by Matthew Anderson from Manmade. Matt has spent years researching and developing ideas and has recently studied passive design. This home is based firmly on those principles.

“Architecturally, ‘the green house’ is a combination of informal New Zealand and post war American simplicity. You can be as “green” as you want with the configuration. The base model will meet your needs for a very comfortable living environment with minimal heating costs. The top of the range can power itself, water itself, even clean itself. All models will score well above average on the Governments Homestar rating system.”

We have specified all the fixtures and fittings into the home. All of these items have been chosen based on a ‘best suited’ principle – this could mean power/water rating, where it is made, how long it will last or materials that are made from natural products or with low toxins.
